OUR
SERVICES
Our services include adult
medicine, midwifery, pediatrics, geriatrics, optometry, dentistry,
radiology, laboratory, pharmacy, compassionate use medication
program, infectious disease clinic, HIV/AIDS treatment, medical social work
and transportation services. The Medical Mall is uniquely designed so that
the patient can see all of the separate medical departments by walking
through a large atrium area.
Physicians are on call 24
hours a day, seven days a week in case of an emergency. Inpatient hospital
services are provided at
Mobile Infirmary, Springhill Medical Center and the University of South
Alabama Hospitals. Inpatient or outpatient ophthalmology services are
referred to our network of eye care clinical service providers. |
OUR
FUNDING
Franklin receives some
funds from the Department of Health and Human Services. These funds are used
to care for patients who are
uninsured. Charges for the uninsured are based upon family size and income. Medicaid, Medicare and all private insurance plans are
accepted. The professional staff at Franklin is committed to providing high
quality healthcare for all persons regardless of race, sex, ability to pay
or age.
OUR STAFF
Franklin Medical Mall is
staffed with board eligible and certified physicians in internal medicine,
family practice and pediatrics, dentists, optometrists,
and other highly qualified professionals including lab, x-ray and pharmacy.
In addition, we have the latest technology for patient care convenience. The Medical Mall is accredited by
JCAHO, which means that the highest standards of quality healthcare are met.

For appointments: walk-ins are welcome. However, to
reduce waiting time at the Mall, it is requested that you call 432-4117 for
an appointment. If you cannot keep your appointment, please notify the
Medical Mall as soon as possible to cancel and reschedule.
OUR
GROWTH
Franklin Medical Mall, located at 1303 Dr. Martin
Luther King, Jr., Avenue, is a state-of-the-art 40,000 square foot building
directly across the street from the original center where Dr. James
Alexander Franklin, Sr. practiced medicine. Dr. Franklin was the legendary
physician known for treating 100 patients a day until his death in 1972.
